TruVista Supports Our Local Community

United Way

TruVista has been the recipient of the Pace Setter Trophy for three consecutive years.  This means that TruVista employees contributed more dollars per capita than the other companies in the area.   Total employee contributions PLUS the 100% company match brings our three year pledge amounts to a total of $109,000.

We also make donations to the United Way of Kershaw County and the United Way of the Midlands. Combined, these are the branches that serve all the communities in our service area.

Athletics and Educational Involvement

Over the years, TruVista has supported local athletes and students through contributions to school booster clubs and more. This year, we’re sponsoring several Little League and Youth Soccer teams, the YMCA program, and several area elementary and middle school reading initiatives.

Telecommunications Industry Organizations

TruVista holds membership in several Telecom Industry organizations and associations, many of which provide scholarships, technology grants and various other community services to schools within our service area. Some examples:

OPASTCO

This is the Organization for the Promotion and Advancement of Small Telecommunications Companies.

The National Telecommunications Cooperative Association (NTCA)

The voice of rural telecommunications, the NTCA is the premiere non-profit association representing more than 580 small and rural telephone cooperatives and commercial companies. The National Telecommunications Cooperative Association, an association of small, rural telecommunications providers, is dedicated to improving the quality of life in rural communities through advanced telecommunications by education, advocacy and cooperation.

ITPA (Independent Telecommunications Pioneer Association)

ITPA is the volunteer organization created by and for the independent telecommunications industry. Dedicated to community service, ITPA has been serving the public on behalf of telecommunications companies for over 77 years. ITPA represents over 13,000 telecommunications employees and retirees nationwide.

  • The local club, The Tri-County Pioneer Club, has adopted families at Christmas, purchased back to school supplies, donated money to the American Red Cross for hurricane victims, and organized many of the events TruVista supports, such as the Relay for Life.
