ruVista Supports Our Local Community

 TruVista has been the recipient of the Pace Setter Trophy for three consecutive years.  This means that TruVista employees contributed more dollars per capita than the other companies in the area.   Total employee contributions PLUS the 100% company match brings our three year pledge amounts to a total of $109,000.

We also make donations to the United Way of Kershaw County and the United Way of the Midlands.  These branches serve other communities in our service area..

 

 

Relay For Life
TruVista has been a corporate sponsor of this event for the
past several years.  Our company will form a team and will
organize fund raising events such as Hot Dog Lunches,
Breakfast Plates, Car Washes, Yard Sales, Various Raffles. 

We also participate in the all night walk held at
Lewisville High School Stadium.

American Red Cross
Our employees participate in many of the local blood drives
on a regular basis.

 

Junior Achievement
TruVista participates with Junior Achievement through
donations as well as class participation.

Athletics and Educational Involvement

Over the years, TruVista hassupported local athletes and students through contributions
to school booster clubs and more. This year, we’re sponsoring several Little League and Youth Soccer teams, the YMCA
program, and several area elementary and middle school reading initiatives.

 

Telecommunications Industry Organizations

TruVista holds membership in several Telecom Industry organizations and associations,
many of which provide scholarships, technology grants and various other community
services to schools within our service area. Some examples:

OPASTCO
(Organization for the Promotion and Advancement of Small Telecommunications Companies) 
   

The National Telecommunications Cooperative Association (NTCA)

The voice of rural telecommunications," is the premiere non-profit association representing more than 580
small and rural telephone cooperatives and commercial companies. The National Telecommunications
Cooperative Association, an association of small, rural telecommunications providers, is dedicated to
improving the quality of life in rural communities through advanced telecommunications by education,
advocacy and cooperation.

 

ITPA (Independent Telecommunications Pioneer Association)

TPA is the volunteer organization created by and for the independent telecommunications industry. Dedicated to community service, ITPA has been serving the public on behalf of telecommunications companies for over 77
years. ITPA represents over 13,000 telecommunications employees and retirees nationwide.

  • local club, The Tri-County Pioneer Club, has adopted families at Christmas, purchased back to
    school supplies, donated money to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Katrina victims,
    organized many of the events TruVista supports, such as the Relay for Life.
